Po Bronson What Should I Do with My Life - The Chief Happiness Officer Blog
Po Bronson What Should I Do with My Life - The Chief Happiness Officer Blog Po Bronson (the author of The nudist on the late shift) takes on the most fundamental question What Should I Do with My Life? in his new book. Theres an article on it in Fast Company, and its excellent stuff. Heres a teaser: Instead of focusing on whats next, lets get back to whats rst. The previous era of business was dened by the question, Wheres the opportunity? Im convinced that business success in the future starts with the question, What should I do with my life? Yes, thats right. The most obvious and universal question on our plates as human beings is the most urgent and pragmatic approach to sustainable success in our organizations. [People] thrive by focusing on the question of who they really are and connecting that to work that they truly love ( and, in so doing, unleashing a productive and creative power that they never imagined ). Yes! Thank you Mr. Bronson. Some of these thoughts lie at the center of my project (projekt arbejdsgl?de), and its beatiful to see a writer with his clout popularizing the same thoughts. However, I do have one observation to add. Finding a job that you can really commit yourself to, does not necessarily have much to do with the job itself. It may have everything to do with the organization and people around you. What I mean is that sometimes what you really commit to, is the people around you, and the values that your organization lives by. And if this is the case, then you can find this commitment in any business. It doesnt need to be ecological farming, charity work or third-world support. It can be something totally mundane and very close to home. If only the values of the people match your values. Thanks for visiting my blog.
